Laparoscopic radical prostatectomy has caught the attention of the urologic community. Although the French series report impressive data, the initial experience in the United States has been less encouraging. This article presents the initial report of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation experience with more than 40 laparoscopic cases. The authors' detailed technique and preliminary outcome data are presented.
