摘要：

An extant population of the long-stalked pondweed Potamogeton praelongus is reported from West Greenland for the first time. However, endocarps of the species have been recovered from up to 3500 years old lake sediments, so the species has a long history in this region. The species must have arrived in West Greenland by long distance dispersal, probably by geese migrating from NW Europe.
