摘要：

The objective of the research discussed in this paper has been to make the effect of a machine failure to a schedule less. A robust function is defined. A rescheduling approach by which the rescheduling policy is obtained corresponding to the different lengths of downtime of a machine is proposed. A trigger value of rescheduling is obtained. By the above research, the schedules minimizing the completion time of all jobs can be evaluated and an optimal schedule against machine failures can be selected. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
