摘要
The heat capacity of the perovskite BaUO3 has been measured by using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) in the temperature range of 373-873 K. The results were consistent with the values calculated by Neumann-Kopp's law. By comparison with the C-p values estimated from the Debye temperature, it appears that the Schottky term contributes to the heat capacity of BaUO3. Enthalpy increment, entropy, free energy function and other thermodynamic functions of BaUO3 as a function of temperature have been calculated from the measured heat capacity and the published data. From the derived molar Gibbs energy, the equilibrium oxygen pressure has also been calculated for the reaction BaUO3/BaUO4. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
