摘要
There are several endocrine alterations in obesity with which the clinician should be familiar for the evaluation of the obese patient. Some of these changes are considered to be secondary, whereas others are considered to be causative factors for the development of obesity. Obesity is one of the most common manifestations of endocrine disease. Adipose tissue is one of the most active tissues and secretes several hormones and other substances that play important regulatory roles in the body.
