We present the wavefront error budget and optomechanical tolerance analysis for NIRSPEC, a high-resolution near-infrared echelle spectrograph for the Keck II telescope. The error budget accounts for aberrations induced by optical design residual, manufacturing error, cryogenic degradation, mounting effects, and misalignments. The allowed errors due to misalignments are used with boresighting and vignetting requirements in an optomechanical tolerance analysis.
