摘要
A study to show that the electrical double-layer capacitance (EDLC) of the mesoporous surfaces was same as observed for non-porous carbon was discussed. Different and converging techniques were used to determine the surface areas such as comparison plots, immersion calorimetry and DFT leading to specific capacitances in aqueous solutions for non-porous carbons. The electrical-double layer capacitance was determined in a two-electrode capacitors by galvanostatic charge-discharge voltage cycles at a current density of 1 mA cm-2. The Two electrode configuration provided information on the behavior of the carbon as cathode and anode and was considered as a reliable technique to know the performance of carbon in real capacitor.
