Electropolymerization of 3-methoxythiophene in micellar medium - A new method for the elaboration of seximethoxythiophene

摘要
3-methoxythiophene was electropolymerized in an aqueous micellar medium (containing sodium dodecylsulfate, SDS) at a Pt electrode. The electrochemical properties of the film obtained were studied in water. Spectroscopic characterization of the resulting soluble oligomer, using especially MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry showed that it is mainly constituted of seximethoxythiophene.
