Treatment of dyeing wastewater with ACF electrodes

摘要
Active carbon fiber was used as electrodes to treat several simulated dyeing wastewater and factual textile-dyeing wastewater from a textile-dyeing operation at Shanghai. This method was found to be quite effective and highly competitive in contrast with Fenton's reagent. Several operating variables, such as voltage, pH and salt added were studied to ascertain their respective effect on the treatment efficacy. According to the experiment, nearly all the wastewater's chromaticity removals were higher than 90%, with COD removals within ca. 40-80%. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
