Extension of Berenger's PML boundary condition in matching lossy medium and evanescent waves

摘要
The authors have found that generalised perfectly matched layer can be derived using wave impedance and effective permittivity concepts. This approach uses a trapezoidal integration scheme which leads to significantly better performance in matching propagating waves and a slight improvement in absorption of evanescent waves, in a lossy medium.
