Electrochemical synthesis of asymmetric gold-silver iodide nanoparticle composite films

摘要
Noncentrosymmetric gold-silver iodide nanoparticles ca. 32 nn in diameter and ca. 120 nm in length are prepared in an anodic aluminum oxide matrix via electrochemical deposition. The deposition technique and preliminary characterizations are discussed. UV/vis extinction spectra of the composites show a strong plasmon resonance peak corresponding to gold and a band edge corresponding to silver iodide.
