Investigations on P zeolites: synthesis, characterisation, and structure of highly crystalline low-silica NaP

摘要
A highly crystalline sample of low-silica zeolite P was synthesised. It was, therefore, possible to investigate the structure of Na8Al8Si8O32. 15.2H(2)O on the basis of highly resolved synchrotron data and to correlate structural information with data from SEM, DTA/TGA, temperature-dependent DRIFTS, transmittance infrared, Raman, Si-29 MAS NMR, and Al-27 MAS NMR experiments. The crystal structure of low-silica NaP has been determined in the monoclinic crystal system, space group C2/c (a = 14.2386(5) Angstrom, b = 9.9836(3) Angstrom, c = 10.0069(3) Angstrom, beta = 134.217(1)degrees, R-P=0.0762, wR(P)=0.0569). As expected, the zeolite framework can be represented by a GIS net. However, the symmetry of the framework and the arrangement of the extraframework atoms differs from gismondine.
