摘要
We present an endoscope-compatible confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM) for medical imaging. A gradient index (GRIN)-lens system projects a magnified image on the distal end of a fiber-optic imaging bundle, which transfers the image to a CLSM situated at the proximal end. As the maximum diameter of the distal optics is I mm, application through the accessory channel of a conventional endoscope is possible. A lateral resolution of 3.1 mum and an axial resolution of 16.6 mum is achieved. Confocal images of colonic tissue stained with a fluorescent marker are shown.
