Shape of the current tube of a negative point-to-plane corona in air

摘要
Results are presented from the experimental studies of a negative point-to-plane air corona discharge with controlled geometry. It is shown that, in a certain range of parameters, the steady-state current-voltage characteristic of the corona can be fitted by a parabola. The results obtained are used to determine the time-averaged shape of the current tube of a negative corona. (C) 2003 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica".
