摘要
A study of characterization of the dispersion of clay in a polyetherimide (PEI) nanocomposite was performed. PEI-clay nanocomposite was synthesized using n-dodecylamine ammonium salt (MMT-C12) and MMT-C12Acid via an in situ solution polymerization approach. The combined observations from transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis indicated that the PEI 1/MMT-C12 was an exfoliated-immiscible nanocomposite.
