An efficient and mild method for catalytic transfer hydrogenation of C=C and C=N double bonds with the aid of resin-supported formate (PSF) as the hydrogen donor and palladium acetate as the catalyst is reported. (C) 2003 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
