摘要
The growing importance of knowledge management in China and the obstacles in good knowledge managment are discussed. Chinese businesses have acquired knowledge from a variety of domestic and foreign sources, huge flows of foreign investment capital into the Chinese economy since the early 1980s have been accompanied by flow of knowledge into the country. IT has provided platform for knowledge management in China, but knowledge tends to be managed in context rather than as a process. Lack of trust within Chinese firms and social hierarchies are some of the main obstacles for good knowledge management in China.
