摘要：

Properly implemented smart industrial substation can enhance plant electrical personnel safety by physically removing the operator from the arc flash zone. Facilities with existing intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) can be economically and effectively connected to a fully communicating system. By using existing devices, the smart industrial substation concept can provide electrical system enhancements.
