摘要
This paper presents the results of one- and two-photon absorption followed by fluorescence for the Gd3+ ions doped in oxyfluoroborate glass. Fluorescence from the levels lying near 60,000 cm(-1) has been reported. The lifetime of the high lying levels has also been measured. The concentration quenching and the mechanism responsible for energy transfer are discussed. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
