Dependence of pressure-induced phase transitions on pressure-transmitting media in the heavy-electron superconductor URu2Si2

摘要
Elastic neutron-scattering and ac-susceptibility measurements have been performed on a 20 single crystal of URu2Si2 under hydrostatic pressure up to similar to 1.1 GPa using Fluorinert 70 & 77 and Daphne oil 7373 as pressure-transmitting media. Daphne oil produces better hydrostaticity of the applied pressure than Fluorinert, resulting in a slight shift of the phase boundary between hidden order and antiferromagnetic order to a lower pressure. The superconducting phase is also influenced, but never overlaps with the antiferromagnetic phase. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
