摘要
The SrAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors were prepared by the solid-state reaction with B2O3 addition and characterized using XRD, DTA, TEM, SEM and PL. The results indicate that the borates flux, which consists of SrB2O4 and SrAl2B2O7, was suggested to facilitate the formation of SrAl2O4 and enhance the growth of SrAl2O4 crystallites. It also led to the agglomeration of resultant particles. Furthermore, the resultant samples with B2O3 addition can show superior emission intensities than the sample without B2O3. However, the samples with higher B2O3 content at 1300 degrees C showed weaker emission intensities than that with lower B2O3 content, which was due to the formation of second phase. As a result, the sample with 5 mol% B2O3 at 1300 degrees C had the highest emission intensity. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
