Molecules with potential applications for non-linear optics: the combination of ferrocene and azulene

摘要
The synthesis of ferrocene derivatives connected by an imino bridge to the azulene moiety is described, and the properties of the compounds were studied (NMR, UV-vis, redox potentials). The first hyperpolarizability of one of the compounds was determined by hyper-Rayleigh scattering (HRS). (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
