Farsighted strategies in the formation of a communication network

I examine the formation of a specific communication network, a variant of the two-way flow model, in which agents have farsighted strategies. I show that the likelihood to form efficient networks tends to zero for sufficiently large network sizes. (C) 2003 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
