The surface tension of molten gallium at high temperatures

摘要
The measurements of the surface tension (ST) of molten gallium at temperatures ranging from 423 to 723 K, were analyzed. Gallium of Grade G1-0 to GOST 12797-77 was used in the experiments. The method of large sessile drop, was used to perform measurements. An experimental setup based on this method was an all-soldered glass instrument capable of operation under a high vacuum or at a slight excess pressure in an inert atmosphere. The experimental results were treated by the least squares method using polynomials in integral powers of temperature.
