Diagrammatic solution of the Anderson lattice with nearest-neighbor exchange interactions

The Anderson lattice model including nearest-neighbor magnetic exchange interactions is studied on a simple cubic lattice through a diagrammatic expansion around the atomic limit. We obtain the correlation functions between f- and conduction electrons on the same site and between f-electrons on nearest-neighbor sites. Both functions decrease with temperature in such a way that crossover temperatures T(K) and T(corr) respectively, can be defined which depend on the parameters of the model. The emerging description is compared to the predictions of the Doniach diagram and more recent approaches. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
