摘要
In this study, we used a continuity theory of aging to examine bridge employment. Excellent health, organizational tenure, and having working spouses and dependent children were positively associated with accepting bridge employment, and age and salary were inversely related to accepting such employment. Bridge employment was strongly related to both retirement satisfaction and overall life satisfaction. Volunteer work and leisure activity complemented bridge employment in facilitating adjustment to retirement.
