摘要
A new type of electron multiplier that has recently been developed, the microsphere plate (MSP), does not have the problem of ion feedback, which limits the operation of the known microchannel plates. Due to its structure, the MSP can amplify charge current even at pressures as high as 0.1 mbar. (C) 1996 American Institute of Physics.
