摘要
Multirate digital signal processing, in which the sample rate is changed to match the bandwidth of the signal at different points within a system, has grown in importance in recent years. It is a key technique in the efficient design of transmultiplexers and digital filterbanks with applications in spectrum analysis, digital audio systems, speech and image coding, among others. This paper introduces the underlying concepts of decimation and interpolation and describes the techniques for minimising degradations caused by the aliases and images which they introduce. Examples of the application of these techniques are presented.
