Aromatic nitro compounds are readily reduced to the corresponding amino compounds in good yield with hydrazine hydrate supported on alumina in the presence of FeCl3. 6H(2)O, Fe(III) oxide hydroxide or Fe(III) oxides. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
