External influence: Transfer RNA can be regulated by fusing a ligand-dependent ribozyme to the tRNA, resulting in disruption of the functional tRNA structure. Upon smallmolecule- dependent activation of ribozyme cleavage, the tRNA is released and can be processed to act in translation. © 2009 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
