摘要
Researchers all over the world are facing the problem of the shortage of alternative energy (AE) sources to meet the global energy challenge. Israeli scientists performed an experiment to overcome the situation and a selected group of 24 final-year PhD students from all areas of physical, life, and engineering sciences, assembled in a tranquil Galilee mountain location, along with 20 senior Israeli and foreign scientists. Discussions and brain storming sessions were developed, interspersed by intense tutoring by senior scientists in their areas of expertise. The seminar allowed the students to be aware and knowledgeable about the energy challenges and related worldwide scientific research and form opinion about directions of fruitful avenues of research for possible approaches to AE.
