The influence of magnetic field on the crystal growth of electrodeposited Co nanowires

摘要
Cobalt nanowires have been electrodeposited into the pores of polycarbonate membranes. Through the comparison of two kinds of samples fabricated without magnetic field and with 1.2 X 10(4) A/m magnetic field,respectively, the influence of magnetic field on the structure of electrodeposited Co nanowires has been investigated. Combined with transmission electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction and vibrating sample magnetometer measurements,we found that the samples deposited under magnetic field form texture, therefore exhibit uniaxial magnetic anisotropy, and the coersivity (H-c) and squareness (M-r/M-s) were greatly enhanced.
