摘要
The thermodynamic potential describing anchoring transitions of nematic liquid crystals on a muscovite substrate is analyzed via applied catastrophe theory techniques. The occurrence of a tricritical point in the equilibrium line of the phases with different molecular ordering is predicted. Fundamentally different behaviours of molecular orientation with the external parameters (humidity, temperature) are obtained.
