摘要
Colored stich traps were tested in citrus groves in Lee, Hendry: and Polk counties, Florida, for attraction of Frankliniella bispinosa (Morgan) adults. White was superior to yellow, red, or orange in attracting F. bispinosa and had a higher spectral reflectance at wavelengths below 500 nm. Kromecote white was superior to Olson white or Chromolux metallic mother-of-pearl and comparable to Chromolux and Duo-Tang blues. Kromecote white, Chromolux blue, and Duo-Tang blue had 30-50% reflectance values in the range of 400-450 nm wavelengths, and their spectral reflectance curves were similar to those of 'Valencia' and navel orange petals. White trap catches of F. bispinosa increased from 24 to 72 h, whereas yellow traps did not. Corresponding trap catches of adult F. bispinosa using a Mark V Krome Kote trap were not significantly different at 24-h intervals over 4-d periods. Weathering did not adversely affect trap catch between 24- and 96-h exposures. Use of disposable traps reduces degradation of color from sunlight. Mark V white, Chromolux blue, and Duo-Tang blue disposable cards have potential for use in assessing population activity off bispinosa in the field.
