摘要
The Seton Hall University Libraries, even with its flat materials budget, has been enhancing its electronic resources by adding a number of full-text aggregated databases to its collections while still maintaining its print serials subscriptions. Recent additional budget shortfall during the 2001-2002 academic year prompted the Library to review its strategy for serials collection development, including the format of the title. This study describes the methodology followed to eliminate the overlap between print and electronic journals while striving to provide a balanced collection and quality library services. The author also discusses the factors that were critical for the project's successful migration from the. print serials to electronic access. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Inc. All rights reserved.
