摘要：

Urban infrastructure is one of the key elements in the struggle for making cities more sustainable and ensuring the environmental security of the population. This paper will analyze some patterns in urban infrastructure development, focusing on environmental impacts of different types of infrastructure. Urban infrastructure and environmental indicators are discussed, as well as application of multiple criteria decision analysis to urban infrastructure environmental assessment on the basis of the above-mentioned indicators. Environmental performance of underground infrastructure is compared in three cities: Paris, Stockholm, and Tokyo. Some important issues for the development of sustainable urban infrastructure have been identified: functionality, land use, integrality, flexibility, rationality, vulnerability.
