(Chemical Equation Presented) Chromium sandwich with "handles": A [2]boratrochrocenophane with diboron bridges was synthesized and oxidatively added to [Pt(PEt3)4]. The resulting [3] boraplatinatrochrocenophane, which is the first example of an ansa-[3]boraplatina sandwich complex, was characterized in solution and in the solid state. © 2005 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
