摘要
Many different cellular structures are formed by actin. Recent work has begun to identify signal transduction pathways that regulate actin. Small G proteins in the rho family mediate the formation of membrane ruffles, filopodia, stress fibers and focal adhesions. Phosphoinositide kinases interact with these small G proteins to activate them and transduce their signals. Protein kinases also transduce small G protein signals and regulate actin-based structures. In this review I will focus on the roles of small G proteins and phosphoinositide kinases in signaling pathways related to actin. (C) 1996 Academic Press Ltd
