摘要
A number of unique test procedures were developed under the US Advanced Battery Consortium (USABC) and the Partnership for a New Generation of Vehicles (PNGV) Programs, to evaluate contract deliverables and to benchmark foreign battery technologies. The procedures provide an unbiased measure of the performance of different batteries based on the goals of USABC and PNGV. The testing and post-mortem results obtained during the evaluation process provide invaluable insights to guide the battery developers to improve their designs, and to provide basic data for battery modeling, which, in turn, can be used to predict the performance of vehicles with a given battery technology.
