摘要：

Sand desert developmental trend in China was revealed for the first time using maps, remote sensing and field investigation methods. The general evolutional trend of sand desert in China is the slowly developing reclamation and oasisification with a rate of 445 km(2) year(-1) in the meantime, it is, also continuing to expand at a rate of 3 10 km(2) year(-1) and in the coming 50 years sand lands in east China will be gradually fixed.
