Structural ordering in star polymer solutions

摘要
Polystyrene stars were prepared by crosslinking polystyryl monoanions with divinylbenzene. The dilute solution properties of this star (arm number f = 20) were characterized by static light scattering. The structural ordering of such stars was investigated through small-angle x-ray scattering. This star polymer formed a body-centered cubic (bcc) structure near the overlap concentration (C*). This structure changed to a mixed lattice of bcc and face-centered cubic (fcc) structures at higher polymer concentration.
