摘要：

Convection in system with small aspect ratio is discussed when thermocapillarity and gravity effects are present. Recent experiments in small containers show many interesting features that can be interpreted in terms of bifurcations with symmetry. In the present paper we report experimental and theoretical results in square and cylindrical vessel. Particular attention is payed to the characterization of the flow in square containers and to the possibility of rotating waves in a cylindrical container.
