摘要
This analysis of the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 examines the history of the legislation, the implementation of the act's provisions, the frequency of family leave requests, and the effect of mandated family leave on the workplace. We conclude with a set of recommendations for employers and policy makers designed to reinforce and strengthen existing family leave policy and to improve implementation of the Family and Medical Leave Act.
