摘要：

Continuous-wave operation of a double-clad Tm-doped silica fibre laser at 2 mu m, pumped by two beam-shaped diode bars, yielded an output power of 14W in a singlemode (M-2 < 1.1) beam for 36.5W of launched pump power at 787 nm. The slope efficiency with respect to launched diode power was similar to 46%.
