Gender economics courses in liberal arts colleges

摘要
A simultaneous probit model, using data collected from 132 liberal arts colleges, shows the motivating factors for the presence of gender-oriented courses. The results suggest that highly ranked, nonreligiously affiliated schools are most likely to support these types of courses. Larger economics departments with larger percentages of women are more likely to offer gender economics courses.
