摘要：

2x4 optical interconnects are realised by plastic optical fibres which are precisely aligned by means of 2D arrays of holes. Coupling to the emitters and detectors is accomplished by low loss 90 degrees fibro bends. The total insertion loss of a 20cm long 2x4 interconnect is 2dB+/-0.2dB at 633nm, including two 900-bends.
