摘要
The preparation of mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN) in alcohols by simultaneous trimethylsilylation and surface extraction with its use for the fabrication of nanocomposite films was analyzed. Mesostructured silica-surfactant composite nanoparticles (SSN) were prepared from a mixture of tetraethoxysilane (TEO), cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), water, ethylene glycol (EG) by stirring at 333 K for 4 h. X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern of trimethylsilylation (TMS)-MSNs prepared without TMB revealed that it could act as a swelling agent to increase the diameter of the cylindrical assemblies in the system. Transmission electron microscopic (TEM) images showed discrete spherical particles with either well-ordered hexagonal dot patterns or striped patterns. The nitrogen adsorption-desorption measurements revealed the highly porous nature of TMS-MSNs and also showed that the characteristics properties of TMS-MSNs are suitable for the fabrication of nanocomposite films for the low refractive index materials.
