Mu-21: A three-dimensional microporous zincophosphate obtained by direct synthesis and reversible dehydration of the zincophosphate Mu-19

A zincophosphate named Mu-21 (Zn4P8O32H12(C5H12NO)(4)) was obtained in solvothermal conditions from a ZnO/H3PO4/N-methylmorpholine/ethylene glycol mixture, and its structure was solved ab initio from powder data. Mu-21 crystallized in the orthorhombic space group P 2(1)2(1)2(1) with a = 10.4200(1), b = 10.4523(2), c = 11.6221(2) Angstrom, and V = 1265.80(3) Angstrom(3). Mu-21 was also obtained by reversible dehydration of the zincophosphate Mu-19 at 80 degreesC. This material was characterized by P-31, H-1 MAS NMR, and SEM.
