摘要
Aim. This paper reports a study exploring the effectiveness of an osteoporosis prevention education programme for young adults. Methods. A quasi-experimental study was carried out with two groups, using pre-, post- and follow-up measures and was conducted in one integrated services centre during the period July 2005 to November 2005. Results. The results showed statistically significant increases in the reported follow-up for each outcome: osteoporosis knowledge test scores, osteoporosis health brief scores, and osteoporosis self-efficacy scores, for those in the intervention group compared with those in the control group. On the satisfaction score, most participants in the intervention group rated the nurse's performance in the educational programme positively. Conclusions. Strategies used in this programme may provide guidance for the design of future programmes.
