Modulated and localized structures in chiral antiferromagnets with weak ferromagnetism

In the novel antiferromagnets, Ba2CuGe2O7 and K2V3O8 peculiarities of the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interactions stabilize specific modulated states in which chiral rotation of the magnetization vectors is accompanied by oscillations of the net magnetization. In this contribution, we investigate the dependencies of magnetic states on intrinsic coupling parameters and external fields in such systems and analyse recent experiments on the suppression of helimagnetism in Ba-2(COxCu1-x)Ge2O7.
